Before I say anything else, I will say that this necklace is exactly what I expected for $12 (basically costume jewelry). I mainly got this as a test piece to see how this thin of a chain would look/feel on me before dropping hundreds on the real deal. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the pendant. Like others have said, it feels legit and of a good quality. I think when I do buy a real chain, I will keep this pendant to swap out for outfits.The chain part of this necklace is flimsy, probably a little sturdier than a necklace from a gumball machine, and will definitely break if there is even a little pulling. Still, I got a compliment on it from my mom who has purchased a similar (but real gold) necklace like this when I was younger. It looked great with semi-formal and casual outfits, matched the yellow-gold nose jewelry and earrings I wore with it, and I had no problems with the color rubbing off or turning green (even after spending multiple days sweating in the hot Florida sun).If you're gentle with it, I think it could last a very long time and it's a quick and easy way to scale up an outfit. I WOULD NOT recommend this necklace for kids since it's not very sturdy. 5/5 stars because I've seen worse quality "fashion necklaces" for ~$20 in stores.
